Verde Canyon Railroad - A very nice attraction in Clarkdale, Arizona.

The train has many comfortable cars.  We had first class tickets on the Flagstaff car which was very nice.

This is the scene as the train starts its 4 hour journey (2 hours each way)

Here you can see the cliffs of the Verde Canyon not far from the Train Depot.

This is the first bridge that you will cross as you head up into the canyon.

There's the view from the bridge looking up the canyon.

Another canyon view with some Fall leaf colors still showing.

You can see that the river does have quite a bit of water flowing in it.

A view looking toward the rear of the train as we head up into the mountains.

You can see the colorful mountains in the distance.

The river widens as we continue up into the canyon.

Rock cliff formations along the sides of Verde Canyon as we continue up the canyon at about 15 mph.

The tracks run right beside some very high cliffs with lots of loose rock.

Lots of cliffs and rock formations are all along the canyon on both sides.

More cliffs and rock formations along both sides of the canyon.

We were lucky to still see some Fall colors even for late November.

More clifs and rock formations.
